The Day After

A blog-friend wrote to me early Tuesday and asked if I had already been out to cast my vote. I replied no, and then explained that I would not be voting because I am not an American and therefore I am ineligible to vote. Yes, a silly rule, because I was certainly willing to make the road-trip. However, many of you did vote and I am going to safely assume that more than a few of you voted for the same candidate I would  have voted for. Yes, I am quite certain of that.

However, what I am not certain of is this.......

Diplomatically speaking: did you have a good Tuesday?

Comments

I had a wonderful Tuesday, thanks for asking. It would have been wonderful no matter the outcome. Any time I get to exercise my right to vote is good, and any time I get to follow it up with a nice breakfast out with the Spouse Thingy, it's even better.

OMG yes yes yes, I had a FANTASTIC Tuesday!!! In addition to my candidate winning, one of the votes on the ballot to end greyhound racing passed! YES!!!

yes. day began voting and ended on bike ride. doesn't get much better than that.

I had a lovely Tuesday. My friend and I walked, got lattes, voted ("cancelling" each other's ;) shopped for Christmas, had lunch and after dinner I went to my Bible study. What a great country. There are plenty of things to smile about in this election and now it's even more exciting to see cheering around the world. I do hope good things are to come.

I had FABULOUS Tuesday!!

one of the best tuesdays in a long, long time.

It turned out to be a great, historical day....but I was nervous, anxious and excited all at once. No matter what the outcome was to be for the first time there would not be two white men in the White House....but my candidate won and I am walking in history's footsteps.

I am a little bit more skeptical of the difference between one political puppet and another.

I fear that people were more excited about being a part of history than the issues at hand.

Really, what the hell are the military and so much money being spent in other countries doing to help our dying economy?

I replaced my bathroom door on Tuesday. It was an important victory for me.

Yes, definitely yes. I feel change in the air and it's about time.

i'm betting you did vote, so strike me as the voting type, but you likely did it in October, not November.

in fact, i think that as a political speech writer it's almost part of the job description, isn't it? :P

aside from still not knowing if prop 8 in CA will die its deserved (in my opinion) death, i had a very exciting tuesday. it started early early (5:30 am) with me hanging door knockers, and ended quite late.

It was a wonderful Tuesday - my candidate won...and I am so looking forward to the changes I believe are coming!!!

I had a tough Tuesday, but my country had a great one. God bless America, her president and her people.

I had an OK Tuesday, but I kept the TV off and didn't read the paper this morning. I finally switched on the TV this afternoon, and I'm already laughing at the "change is going to take time" spin being put out by the winning party. Duh!

Had a nice Tuesday. Voted at lunch, went home ran 3 miles then did nothing but plop my butt on the couch and watched history in the making on TV!

i had an anxious day until the polls closed and the winner was announced! yay for the USA!

My Tuesday was a little stressful. The highlight of my day was only been at the polls for 10 minutes :)

Yes- I had a great Tuesday- especially since my candidate won & in spite of getting out of bed on a cold morning a half an hour early so as to have enough time to vote before work (40 minute wait at 6:20 in the morning)

thanks.thanks allot...
