What kind of music did you listen to as a kid (or teenager)? Do you still like that kind of music?

As a teen, I loved rhythm and blues, and yes, I do listen to it now.

Well, I grew up in the 40s and 50s, my father had a huge collection of music of the 30s and 40s and thought rock and roll was garbage, so mostly I listened to music of the 30s and 40s and the baladeers of the 50s (Perry Como, Vic Damon, etc.) Yes, I still enjoy that music. I missed the whole rock'n'roll era because I was so intimidated by my father.

I listened to a little bit of everything, just as I do now.

Top 40 stuff...I still like it, but I also like alternative, classical, hard rock, and Barry Manilow.

I listened to what my older brothers listened to, the Beatles, Steppenwolf, Three Dog Night, Moody Blues, The Who, Led Zepplin, and lots more. And yes, I still listen to all of that music! I also listen to today's music!
I love it all!!

I listened to the Beatles as a kid...as a teenager, I listened to Bowie, T.Rex, Chuck Berry, and others like that. I still listen to that now, plus Zeppelin, who I didn't like back in the day. I loved 80s rap, but not the crap now. Still not a fan of country or opera.

Thank you Michele for choosing my question.
I listened to Opera every weekend because my Italian mother loved it. It took me decades to appreciate it, but I have no opera recordings that I listen to now. I love pretty much all music, even some rap. I did "grow up" on rock 'n roll.

I listened to classic rock in the 80's for the most part- hard rock etc & I am still pretty much all rock & roll though I'm not stuck in one decade or genre of rock - I like everything from 50's through current rock music (no rap- hip hop or country though)

Everything except COUNTRY. And I mean everything. I had to watch Lawrence Welk on Saturday evening with my mom.

I listened to the Beatles, Dylan, CCR, Warren Zevon, all of which I still love. I don't think I ever "outgrew" anything I used to like-lucky me!

I remember alot of different music, but mostly the Beatles. My 1st album ever was Three Dog Night, which my brother gave me on my 9th b-day. I never got to listen to it because he took it right back. It seems that was the album HE really wanted, but had to get me a present...Go figure!! (I love Three Dog Night!)

mostly musicals, which I still love. But in high school I got into Country music, which I am no longer a fan of.

Rock... and I still do, although I love alternative music now. I also developed a love for classical music and opera in my 20s (still love it).
The only kind of music I despise is country.
