Important Lessons

Robert Fulghum is the author of a charming book called All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten which includes these wonderful lessons:

Play Fair
Don't hit people
Clean up your own mess
Warm cookies and milk are ood for you

Your  turn. What lesson did you learn as a child that still hold true.

Always watch where you're going.

Be very careful with knives. (I helped out in the family butcher shop)

Pay attention to what you are told, then you don't get into trouble.

PS Does "make sure you always wear clean underwear in case you have an accident" count?

When my Kindergarten teacher told me I was wrong, there weren't such things as blue grapes while I actually had blue grapes growing in my yard...I learned that there are commonly held and taught beliefs and "facts" that may serve institutions, but not truth and reality.

Chicken soup really does help that cold.

A penny saved is much shinier if you soak it in vinegar.

Cookies and milk are better for you to eat but eating paste and crayons gets a better reaction from the teacher.
