The All About You Test

Please read the instructions carefully! You are about to take another weekly All About You Test.

A Christmas Edition!

The Instructions:

Take your time for the test and try to answer as many questions as possible. You are going to be asked 5 questions. Please look at a clock and time how long it takes you. You should not need loner than 30 minutes. If you need longer, please consider learning more about yourself.

After you completed the 5 questions, you have finished the test and you may leave the comment section testing area. But please remember: these on-line "all about you" tests can never be as accurate as tests supervised by trained professionals.

We from All-things-Michele hope you have fun with the test.

Good Luck and best wishes!

  1. In your  opinion, what  does Christmas smell like?
  2. Do you leave cookies out for Santa?
  3. What Christmas song would you prefer to never hear again?
  4. What does  your tree topper look like?
  5. Do you plan a special breakfast for Christmas  morning?
  6. Is a Bûche de Noël a great holiday dessert, or the greatest holiday dessert?
  7. A Mamacita question: Do you festoon your Christmas packages with ribbons and bows and glittery furbelows, are they plain, or are they (shudder) in gift bas?

Bonus Question worth triple candy cane flavoured points: Do you like  Michele's  new weekly format? Be  honest. She  wants to know!

Comments

1. Pine trees and cookies.
2. Of course not. That's the children's job.
3. "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus."
4. A beautiful angel. With lights.
5. We always have oatmeal. With a Reeses' peanut butter tree as an appetizer.
6. It just may be the greatest. Not that we ever have it. Way too much work!
7. Very few ribbons and bows. And yes, quite a few are in gift bags. However, I never shudder at them, as I like the fact they usually get re-used instead of ending up in a landfill immediately.
Bonus: I have mixed feelings. I miss the daily postings, but I didn't get here every day anyway.

1a - cookies (the kind Mom made)
1b - cookies and corresponding smoke - (when I try them)

2. Not anymore (see 1b above)

3. Grandma got run(ned) over by a reindeer

4. I go with the topless tree

5. oatmeal

6. I'll defer on that one until further personal review of the issue

A Mamacita question: simply wrapped, with some (allegedly) witty note to the recipient.

Bonus Question: only 1/7 as much as the former format : )

1. Cinnamon, pine, baking bread, my mother's special perfume that she's worn only on Christmas Day as far back as my memory goes. . . .
2. We used to. Now Santa eats them during the daylight hours.
3. Almost any "novelty" song, and "Jingle Bell Rock."
4. A beautiful wooden Hallmark angel has topped my tree for almost thirty years. Her name is Fifi. That was the "most beautiful name" my then-toddler daughter could think of.
5. On Christmas morning, my children always wanted blueberry muffins and eggs. They're in their twenties now and that's what I still fix for them.
6. It's delish, and so wonderful to just look at, too.
7. I dearly love to wrap each package in individualized paper, and festoon it with ribbons, candy, ornaments, and cinnamon sticks. I loathe gift bags, unless you're trying to wrap a unicycle. Thank you for using my question!

1. Cinnamon and pine. And peppermint.

2. Used to, but Santa realized he was fat enough as it is, and requested I stop doing that. Especially once he realized the cats were licking the cookies before he could get to them.

3. "I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas"

4. There's just a M&M ornament hanging up there...no real topper.

5. We always have cinnamon rolls.

6. Um...what is it?

7. No ribbons and bows; I don't want anything the kitties will be tempted to chew on. But I do use bright, shiny foil paper that reflects the twinkling lights from the tree.

Bonus: I miss the daily stuff, but this is still fun, and much better than nothing!

1. The way a pine tree smells the very first day (and rarely on subsequent days)
2. Not any more. I am Santa; I eat them.
3. Jingle Bells sung by any animal chorus (except humans)
4. I have no tree this year, but I have a golden Santa that I normally use (he came in when the angel died)
5. For the first time in 40 years, no. None of our kids will be here. Hardly seems worth it. Husband doesn't really care for "special" holiday foods.
BONUS
6. Depends on how it's prepared. I've had very good ones and very bad ones.
7. Ribbons and bows. Of course.
CANDY CANE BONUS
I got spoiled with daily, and I miss it. In all honesty.

1. I think it smells like gingerbread!
2. Not anymore - my baby is now 30 and she lives far away!
3. I think my least favorite Christmas song is Silent Night - maybe cause it is overplayed.
4. My tree topper is a blue angel - but, it is taking a break this year.
5. Since it is mom and I this year I doubt that I'll fix a special breakfast...I might just don't know...
6. Don't really care for it...
7. I am the worst wrapper in the world - no, really! Bags and very plain

Bonus:

I miss the daily postings...but, I do like the once a week thing...I can take my time and answer or I can do it all at once...depending on my mood. My preference is that it is convenient for Michele - because without her there would be no fun and games...

1. Candles, cookies & peppermint.
2. I love Santa. I'm leaving him Dr. Oz's YOU ON A DIET instead this year.
3. CHRISTMAS SHOES! If there's a more maudlin, manipulative, dreadful song on the planet, I haven't heard it yet.
4. Which tree? The multi-tree has a shiny red and gold spire, and the lime green mylar tree has a shiny teal spire. :)
5. Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. But I should. I think French toast would be devine.
6. (googling...) It looks scrumptious. Never had one.
7. Festoonery rules in this house. Though, the bows do not stay on the presents for long with 4 cats. And ribbon is just asking for it.
BONUS: Well, as Liberace & Mae West said, "Too much of a good thing... is wonderful." But I am having fun, regardless.
~S :)

1. Pine, cookies, pumpkin pie, turkey and mulled cider!
2. We used to.
3. I don't mind any of them, except the country ones.
4. I don't have a tree this year, but it would be either ribbon bows or an angel I made the year we were married.
5. It is usually pancakes or an omelet.
6. I don't know; I've never had it.
7. Ribbons and bows! Always! Except when they are gift cards.
Bonus: it's better than none, but I preferred the daily posts.

1. Cloves and orange
2. Yup...JUST IN CASE!!!
3. Anything by Mariah Carey
4. An angel
5. I do!
6. eh...
7. I wrap the gifts in kitchen towels with Christmas designs, wrap them with twine and use sprigs of evergreen to spruce (no pun intended) 'em up.

Bonus Question: Well...I prefer the old format, but if it must be, it must be!

1. pine trees and candy canes
2. of course. and carrots for the reindeer
3. grandma got run over by a reindeer
4. a big light up star
5. yep. cinnamon french toast
6. the greatest!

A Mamacita question: ribbons and bows!!!!

Bonus Question worth triple candy cane flavoured points: frankly, i need more cowbell... er... michele. but since it's her blog i have to be happy with what she gives us.

1. apples and cinnamon
2. yup, every year whether he shows up or not
3. We Three Kings
4. A country angel
5. No, just the usual...soy sausages
6. maybe....what is it?
7. no, I have a hard enough time just getting them in Christmas paper and taped.
8. What ever makes Michele happy makes me happy.

1. Pine needles
2. Of course! A three and a five year old would worry otherwise:-)
3. Christmas Shoes --- I'm with Shephard on this one.
4. An origami angel I designed when I was about 12 -- this particular one was made 15 years or so ago....
5. Champagne and oysters, of course --- of course, the best laid plans of mice and breadboxes.....
6. Let me recommend Jacques Pepin's Roulade au Chocolat recipe: it looks like a buche de noel, but is even better! And extremely easy to make:-)
7. Plain, simple, classical. Green or red paper, gold ribbon wrapped squarely round the box. Ribbon tastefully curled gently (not tightly) after tying.

On the new format --- when I have time on a Monday to join in, it is fun --- but if I don't have time on a Monday it feels stale to join in on a Thursday morning.... I think that I prefer a few games each day to a huge swath every Monday....

N.

1. Oranges, chocolate, cinnamon, pine trees.
2. No, no chimney (and the cats would eat them anyway)
3. Last Christmas
4. A star, of course. Red.
5. Usually, when I'm at home. This year it'll probably be cereal.
6. Mmm... the greatest.
7. Solidly wrapped in a box, with green, red, or gold metallic paper, a contrasting ribbon tied neatly around the corners of the box, and possibly a bow on top.
Bonus: Michele, you are contributing greatly to my productivity at work these days by cutting back. It's probably a good thing for me. Sigh.

1. Christmas smells like pine and nutmeg.
2. no cookies for Santa, but plenty for the rest of us!
3. more than 1 minute of "Santa Baby" is too much.
4. We have a beautiful angel, but we haven't had it up in a few years now.
5. My wife usually makes Potato Bread (doesn't taste like potatoes - it tastes like cinnamon rolls).
6. as long as there is real cream in the filling I'm there.
7. I add just the right ribbons and other add-ons to the presents, even if I wasn't the one to wrap them. (Of course, there was the year when we ran out of tape and HAD to use ribbon to hold the paper shut or use packing tape...)

Bonus Question: I have been so busy, I can't really say - I'd be able to answer better in January when my life gets back to "normal". BreadBox has a good point, though.

1. Smells like ham.
2. Little miss 5 puts out a beer for Santa and carrots and water for the reindeer.
3. With Janet on this - Mariah Carey..ewwww
4. Let me look....a squash angel.
5. Nooooo to busy watching Miss 5 open her presents and Im too busy looking for mine.
6. Please explain.....(I'll look it up)
7. This year all the trimmings but need to put in carry bags to carry them all.

BONUS: I like it both ways, but I do recall a certain person who said she would give out little bits of info every once in while about her self - so how about a lovely Christmas present for us..????

1. Christmas smells like cinnamon!

2. No, I leave brownies out for Santa.

3. Okay I'll go with the others' Mariah Carey answers! I have no originality.

4. I don't have a tree!

5. No, but thank you for reminding me!

6. I have yet to taste one before deciding!

7. They're wrapped in simple brown or white paper (craft paper) and tied with red and green ribbons.

I miss your daily posts!

1. In your opinion, what does Christmas smell like? Cinnamon and butter.

2. Do you leave cookies out for Santa? Yes we do. and a carrot for the reindeer.

3. What Christmas song would you prefer to never hear again? Rockin' round the christmas tree.

4. What does your tree topper look like? Vintage Santa.

5. Do you plan a special breakfast for Christmas morning? No. Who can eat with all that excitement?

6. Is a Bûche de Noël a great holiday dessert, or the greatest holiday dessert? I don't know what that is.

7. A Mamacita question: Do you festoon your Christmas packages with ribbons and bows and glittery furbelows, are they plain, or are they (shudder) in gift bags? All three.

I do like the weekly format because I can drop in casually and if I'm interrupted, I can come back and not have missed much. I like it very much.

1. The Live Tree, & the dusty musty ornaments which come out of the boxes to go on the tree.
2. Some years Santa has had a beer, other years it's been a Diet Coke or Cocoa, always cookies & sometimes pretzels.
3. Oh so many, many choices...If only one then I guess I'd have to say Santa Baby could go away forever & I wouldn't miss it.
4. A star which had lights last year (& the others before that) but this year just sits there- considering it came out of the Christmas boxes in pieces I'm just happy we could make some of it work.
5. Sometimes, I probably will this year.
6. It's a lovely dessert, I like Croquembouche better though.
7. I do a little of each, more ribbons & pretty things for the single gifts given, as opposed to the multiple gifts my kids receive, they're lucky to get a bow.

Bonus Question worth triple candy cane flavoured points: I miss seeing what's new everyday but I am trying to cut down how much time I spend online anyway, so a block of time here once a week is better for me than visiting every day.

1. Cinnamon, cloves, oranges, gingerbread, and peppermint

2. Nope. My dogs would just eat them.

3. It's a real toss-up between Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer or All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth

4. I have a few and I use different ones different years. My favorite is an angel, but I also have a star and some big bows.

5. Nope. I'm not really much of a breakfast person.

6. Uuuuhhh....

7. Mostly they're simply wrapped in Christmas paper, but occasionally they get either festooned or bagged.

Bonus Question worth triple candy cane flavoured points: If I had more 'puter time, I'd prefer the old, but as it is I'm barely keeping up with the weekly!

1. Christmas smells like peppermint & bayberry candles.
2. Sometimes.
3. All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth. Annoying, stupid, not funny and anyone who actually wants their teeth for Christmas probably ain't singin' about it.
4. It is a beigey star made out of some sort of knotted rope. One year it got infested with tree spiders and their webs.
5. Yes, we often have quiche or sweet rolls.
6. Don't know!
7. Well, I wouldn't say I "festoon" them! But I like pretty wrapping, bows, tags and don't much like the bags, although I've received some very gorgeous gift bags!

Yes, the format is lovely and it allows me to get my chores done and feed my family done on the other three days.

1. Pine Trees
2. No
3. Any classic done by an R&B or Country singer
4. It's a Capiz shell star
5. No, should I
6. It certainly sounds yummy!
7. I wrap all my gifts in coordinating paper, with ribbons tied in big bows

Bonus Question worth triple candy cane flavoured points: Yes, I do. I haven't noticed anything lacking

1. Traffic jams and unshowered relatives.
2. Yes.
3. O Little Town of Bethlehem.
4. Red paper star with Santa beard.
5. No.
6. Never had one!
7. Relatively plain packages but not bags!
B. Since I'm way behind on reading, weekly works fine for me.

1. Frankincense
2. He has to go into the tin in the pantry to get them.
3. I haven't met one I didn't like
4. Red and gold pinwheel from one of my flower gardens.
5. Same old
6. Recycled bows and glitter.

1) fresh cut fir tree... greenery rocks!
2) not only do we leave cokies for Santa but we leave Nine baby carrots out for the reindeer... one extra for rudolf.
3) redneck 12 days of christmas.
4) a pretty cream colored angel holding two light bulbs that look like candles in her hands... they light up when attached to the rest of the tree lights.
5) actually, usually christmas mornign we dont do much breakfasty type stuff because we eat dinner at 2ish.
6) my favorite holiday desert is Bread pudding actually.
7) i use a combination of all the above. some are just gift paper, some are just in bags, some are glittered some just a stick on bow, but still others i curl ribbon and cover boxs in fancy-ness. i like lots of variety and we usually have so many gifts under our tree that it works out nicely.
bonus: i would enjoy your page no matter what, since you have led me to meet so many wonderful people. how could you doubt!?!
