A Story That Is Still Being Written
Have you ever lost yourself so completely in a novel or a movie that you became part of it? Something about the story strikes a chord deep within you. One of the only things more delicious than losing yourself in a fictional story is to lose yourself in a brand new chapter of your own life.
There will be no regular posts today, because, at this very moment there is a brand new chapter that I simply want to lose myself in and enjoy.

Well FINALLY someone bought my book...

Books-all the time. Movies, not so much.

I love it when that happens. Especially in a good book and I just can't wait to get back wrapped in that new world with my new friends.

Those are the best books of all. The ones I lose myself in and only come up for air when absolutely necessary. Enjoy!

I hope it's everything you wish it to be!

oh to be a stream of words in that chapter, to jump off the page into your mind, and wander about a bit in your cranial recesses!
Posted by:david in the mountains | September 27, 2007 at 10:58 AM
Words have that magical capability. It's why I'd rather read something than have it played back to me on a screen. The mind is a much more powerful storyteller.
Thanks for the timely reminder, Michele. Happy reading!

Yo Guys.....Hellllloooooo.....She is talking about herself....HER LIFE....not a book....SHE IS HAPPY AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A NEW CHAPTER (metaphor) in her LIFE!!!!!!!

i find myself closing a book with a happy sigh, glancing at the clock and discovering that the book i was enjoying at bedtime kept me up until 3am! Particularly when a book about Odd Thomas written by Dean Koontz finds its way into my home. Ok, i admit it, i avidly go out and purcchase Odd Thomas books the day they come out... and then i stay up all night devouring it. It's nice to spoil yourself, getting lost in the fantasie of someone elses life.

I'm with Flleenie - one of Steven King's books did it for me, too. I remember it vividly... he was writing about the approaching stormy weather in one part, I was so engrossed for hours in it - and when I raised my head and saw the sun shining outside, I was so disoriented it was bizarre!!! Honestly, that's why I like reading so much - it's like being in a different world for awhile...

Enjoy the book! Often I would read a book and couldn't put it down. I'd keep reading until I finish it. When I look up it would be like 3 in the morning lol.

OK, why do people think you're talking about a book here? Aren't you saying that it's a new chapter in your LIFE ???
Posted by:panthergirl | September 28, 2007 at 12:48 PM
I've never been been big on reading, but I'm glad Michelle is enjoying her book just the same. Meanwhile, this commenting game is so much fun!

I've gotten lost in many a book. I love that feeling when you come out of a deep read and you're like: what's going on? what time is it? where's everyone?
Posted by:Kisane | September 29, 2007 at 11:45 AM
Michele...enjoy this moment in life, but SOME OF YOU NEED TO READ THE COMMENTS, NOT JUST WRITE ON WITH NO REGARD TO REALITY, NOT TO MENTION PREVIOUS STATEMENTS THAT JUST MIGHT IMPROVE YOUR COMPREHENSION!
