Echoing Mr. Althouse who echoed BreadBox (two of my favourite guys)!
Did I mention that she called from the airport and said, "I decided to stay a few more days, is that ok"? Then she laughed, and then I laughed as I wondered how much time I would do for killing a blogger.
Oh, if there was a winner chosen for the"Other than" posts, (and NO, there is not), and if I were to be the person who chose the winner (and NO, I would never accept that type of responsibility on this blog), but if I did, well, I would immediatly declare that:
Carmi wins!
I adore Beckett and that is one of my favourite plays. Not to mention it is a great ending for that line.
Of course, there is another comment that I am rather fond of, but for other reasons.
Hold on there for a second Missy (M)......Who's blog do you think you're on? caspar seriously thinks that perhaps you have had one umbrella drink too many. we cannot turn the "other than" game into some sort of ....gasp......competition. It has taken the crew quite some time to get things cleaned up from the chaos that took place in your absence and then you want to start a bloodbath of "other thanisms". And DO NOT even say you did this in the realm of it being hypothetical....such whimsy might fy in some quarters but not here. You adore Beckett? And what are his feelings towards you? Are you trying to hide something from your vast viewing public? And despite choosing a winner you have chosen another winner; the unspoken other comment that you are fond of.....nicely done. Your blogfondness is a prize beyond prizes. madam....good day.
(Sorry shoeaddict. I'm married to a slow talker, sometimes I don't even think he hears me and then suddenly I receive an answer to something I've forgotten I asked! Actually he's from IN, not the south, if it makes you feel better. Sorry to Mamacita now. ;)
