A recent article said that forty year old women are more likely to lie about their weiht than their ae.
In one study, 27 percent of women 40 and older said they subtract a few pounds from their weiht, while only 6 percent shave years off their ae.
Do you ever lie about your weiht or ae? If you do lie about your ae how many years youner (or older) do you claim to be?
Have I mentioned that I am still twenty-nine?
I have never lied about my age or weight. I'm open and honest - no need not to be.
I'm not included in age group of the study, as I'm not 40 or over.

I too, do not lie about my age. My weight though, well, I usually don't tell anyone my weight. No lying involved then.

I tell the truth about my age; I give people the Death-Stare if they ask about my weight...
Posted by: Thumper | May 01, 2006 at 10:54 PM
I have never lied about either one. I have always looked my age and don't look like I weigh as much as I do, since I am tall.
Posted by: kenju | May 01, 2006 at 11:10 PM
I have never lied about my age, and it wouldn't do any good to lie about my weight. Sigh.
Posted by: Mamacita | May 01, 2006 at 11:51 PM
I tell people I'm 170#. I'm actually 158#. I tell people I'm 32 years old. They never believe me.
Posted by: g8s | May 02, 2006 at 12:11 AM
I don't lie, I just don't discuss it.
Posted by: Barbara | May 02, 2006 at 12:12 AM
I am neither a woman, nor am I over 40, but since I so love to answer Michele's questions . . . I find no need to lie about my age. As for my weight, my driver's license says I'm 175 and we KNOW that all gov't issued documents are correct, right?
Posted by: Phil | May 02, 2006 at 12:12 AM
I don't lie about my age. That seems silly. I don't lie about my weight, either, what good is it to lie when people can SEE what you look like??
Posted by: Pickalish | May 02, 2006 at 12:24 AM
I lie about my weight.
I lie about my age.
I figure if they are dumb enough to ask, they are dumb enough to be lied to.
Posted by: Sandy J | May 02, 2006 at 12:34 AM
I don't lie about my age. Most people guess it is younger than it is and I'm 40. But as to the weight...err, I don't lie but I'm not apt to walk into a room and blurt it out either. Where the age I might.
Posted by: Grins | May 02, 2006 at 12:39 AM
I don't lie about either.
Posted by: pantrygirl | May 02, 2006 at 12:53 AM
I don't lie about my age. But I'll mention that I'm another person who looks quite a bit younger than my age.
Weight...well I must admit I'm a bit touchy on that one. I pretty much just refuse to answer.
Oh yeah, and I'm female and over 40.

I don't lie about either. I give my weight as accurately as I can, based on the last time I stepped on a scale. I don't lie about my age either, although lately everyone thinks I am because they think I am YOUNGER than I am, lol! By the way, I weigh 143 and am 39 years old!
Posted by: Linda | May 02, 2006 at 02:46 AM
My dinner party friends think I am 9 months younger than I am...the result of my lying to shut one of them up about how young she was all the time.
Posted by: blackbird | May 02, 2006 at 06:17 AM
I try not to discuss my weight (that number is too high for my liking). As for my age, I don't need to lie, but a lot of the time I genuinely can't remember whether I'm 26 or 27 these days which makes people give me funny looks sometimes. I got rather muddled once and never figured it out since.

I don't lie about my age. I keep my weight closely guarded. I don't even tell my hubby that! I don't lie -- I just don't tell.
Posted by: Marie | May 02, 2006 at 08:27 AM
Nobody believes me when I tell them age, apparently I don't act it. But then tell me how is a 40ish women supposed to act. Now my weight is never mentioned and I don't own scales so I don't care.
How frightening to hear that it is on some peoples driving license eg.Phil.

I never lie about my age but just yesterday I lied about my weight on a passport application. No idea why. Good motivation to lose those pounds before vacation time!
Posted by: christina | May 02, 2006 at 08:39 AM
41 1/4 years, 5'8 1/4", 148 lbs....well, okay, 149.
Posted by: Jennie | May 02, 2006 at 09:23 AM
I never lie about my age. I'm turning 37 this year. I don't see how I could ever be comfortable at the age I'm at, if I lie about my age.
My mother lies about her age. She transverses the numbers. She is 74 but tells everyone she is 47.
Posted by: Undercover Angel | May 02, 2006 at 09:42 AM
I don't lie about my age, but most people think I'm older than I really am. I'm 26, but most people pin me as 30-35 because I'm with a 35 year old man and have a teenage step daughter and a pre-teen step daughter.
I don't lie about my weight either, but I generally don't bring it up. People who do find out are always surprised. Being almost 6' tall means that I weigh a bit more than I look!
Posted by: Samantha | May 02, 2006 at 09:51 AM
I'm 48 and I'll NEVER tell the truth about my weight!
Posted by: Janet | May 02, 2006 at 10:04 AM
Although I usually tell the truth about my age, I love to lie about it. Except I usually add about 10 years. I get the most wonderful compliments!
And I don't like about my weight either. I weigh about 20 pounds more than I look like I weigh so I get compliments about that too!
Posted by: Megan | May 02, 2006 at 10:15 AM
Never about my age, and I just don't bring up the weight.
Posted by: wordnerd | May 02, 2006 at 10:44 AM
I must confess...I do not lie about my age. I am 52. My b/f is 37. That concerned me when we met a 1 1/2 years ago but apparently doesn't bother him. I have fudged on my weight by about 10 lbs.
Posted by: cyndy | May 02, 2006 at 11:19 AM
i don't lie about either.
Posted by: barbie2be | May 02, 2006 at 11:48 AM
I don't believe I've ever been directly asked about my weight so I've never had to lie about it. My age? Never, I'm proud of those years.
Posted by: Jade | May 02, 2006 at 11:53 AM
no stories for me 45 & my weight is none of your business. hahaha
Besides online we are all fit & in the range of 20 to 30 year olds.
Posted by: Paige | May 02, 2006 at 01:50 PM
don't lie but I have been wrong before. I thought I was taller than I was and I don't really track my weight but for the record I'm 6'4 and around 280lbs.
Posted by: archshrk | May 02, 2006 at 02:28 PM
My weight and age are posted on my blog (it is a diet blog, after all...). Most people think I act older but look younger than I am - a good thing, I think. Even at my heighest weight I don't think most would have guessed it...
Posted by: Shannin | May 02, 2006 at 04:00 PM
I don't lie about my age, I just don't say anything, lol. I lie about my weight. I am a light weight so I add a couple of pounds.
Posted by: mar | May 02, 2006 at 04:55 PM
I don't lie. It isn't worth keeping track.
Posted by: Keb | May 02, 2006 at 05:14 PM
Never on either....people always guess I'm younger and lighter than I am anyway and quite frankly I'm not really at a point where I need to worry yet with age and I don't care about weight!
Posted by: Claire | May 02, 2006 at 06:08 PM
no and no (but I'm not forty yet).
Posted by: daughter in law | May 03, 2006 at 08:21 AM
I lie about my weigh alllllll the time...but never my age.
Posted by: trinity13 | May 03, 2006 at 08:54 AM
I never lie about either.
