Marcia

I'm reading Eclipse by Dalton Trumbo - a book he wrote about my home town that's been out of print for 40 years.

amy

Fall on Your Knees by Anne-Marie MacDonald. I've read it several times. It's very good, but very dark. and then for a little light reading, there is Andrew Greeley's Angel Fire. my favorite of all his books.

Jill

The Collected Poems of Sylvia Plath.

iliana

My nightstand is about to topple over with all the books :)

Higher up on the stack is Fall on Your Knees by Ann-Marie MacDonald.

Nancy

I have a huge stack! The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury and Shaman's Crossing by Robin Hobb are on the top.

Erin

The Pleasure of my Company by Steve Martin.

I just finished Memoirs of a Geisha and it was the most beautiful, mesmerizing book I've ever read. I highly recommend it!

Marie

Prodigal Summer - Barbara Kingsolver

deana

I just finished Prep last week...I am debating on what to buy or start next. I hear good things about Historian, the new vampire book.

Noelle

I don't have a nightstand, but the book that is currently following me around the house from place to place is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

kenju

"Until I Find You" by John Irving. It has taken me months to nearly finish it (sort of an odd premise for a book).

Mo

The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy by Vicki Iovine.

LilRed

I am embearrassed to admit that my answer is the same as the last time you asked ...

Unfortunately, I just haven't had a lot of time to read lately ...

Oh, Michele! Thank you for the link!

'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini. I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm also attempting to make my way through 'Metamorphoses', and I'm reading 'The Old Patagonian Express' in my lunchhour. All nicely varied to give me options.

I recently received four books from Amazon.fr:
The Cell by Stephen King
Only Girl in the Car by K. Dobie
Sickened by Julie Gregory
Mr. Maybe by Jane Green
As soon as I finish my current book, I'm diving in!

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It's wonderful. The Kite Runner was another really good read.

Radioactive Jam

"Moving Pictures" by Terry Pratchett, and
"The Final Key : Part Two of Triad" by Catherine Asaro.

Arethusa

I think that the novel I'm still reading from the last time you asked this--I start and consider so many it's hard to keep track--was "Shroud" from a Mr. John Banville. His books are relatively short but I find that I must take my time.

I'm also on "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte, of which I'm ambivalent about and "Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" by Haruki Murakami.

Kat

Native Tongue by Carl Hiaasen. Stole it from a friend's house when hungover so its different from my normal reads.

Zinnia Cyclamen

"Watching The English" by Kate Fox.

Tania

I just finished The Beast (by Anders Roslund & Borge Hellstrom), which is a Swedish novel that deals with some heavy issues: child molestors, vigilante justice, and prison life.

This morning I started The Killing of the Tinkers by Ken Bruen. It's an Irish crime fiction novel, with a unique writing style and powerful story.

WebKittyn

Mary Mary by James Patterson and Stephen King's new one, Cell.

MommaK

"Night Fall" by Nelson DeMille

keb

Until last night it was The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks.

I bought The Divine Comedy this weekend by Dante and I'll be reading that next.

Just finished "Wicked, Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire, excellent book!!!

Now reading his "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister"
