How shall we do this?
Let me explain:
The person before you has asked you a question. Now bein a pleasant uest you shall answer. See, small talk! Now, you will want to welcome the next uest by askin a question of them.
It really is as simple as answer and ask. Please remember you are a pleasant uest and this is only small talk, albeit of the amusin kind. Some possible questions miht be
- What book are you readin?
- Where were you born?
- Do you think red jellybeans are over-rated?
- Mary-Anne or iner?
Please, keep it non-personal and ask fun questions. And yes you can come back to mix and minle, in fact I encourae it.

Which would you rather do...Ride the Bus or Ride The Subway, and WHY?
Posted by: OldOldLady Of The HillsOl | November 25, 2005 at 01:43 AM
I would rather ride the bus because I think I have watched too many movies and just see the subway as a place of scary people with knives and guns.

Do you like people to take their shoes off when they enter your place or are they okay left on?
Posted by: Melody | November 25, 2005 at 05:39 AM
You can leave your shoes on when you come to my house, or you can take them off, if you like. I'm easy to get along with!
Have you gone to a movie within the last month? Which one, and did you like it?
Posted by: kenju | November 25, 2005 at 06:09 AM
I have to say that I prefer them to take their shoes off, but would never ask them to do so.
So a question for the next visitor -
What is the most awe inspiring place you have ever visited, preferably not in the country in which you live but obviously if you haven't been abroad your own country is fine?
Posted by: Dave | November 25, 2005 at 06:11 AM
For Kenju - Wallace and Gromitt and it was very funny.
Posted by: Dave | November 25, 2005 at 06:12 AM
Hmmm...that's a tough question Dave! I was awed by the cherry blossoms in Japan, and a million other things there as well. I was awed by the Scott Memorial in Edinburgh, Scotland; I was awed by the feeling of history in Paris (and the cafe creme); I was awed by dawn in Oahu. Those are the most memorable for me.

Posted by: Sojourning | November 25, 2005 at 09:09 AM
Sleep in! That scene is crazy (having worked retail for 5 1/2 years, I think I'm entitled to skip Black Friday for a while).
Does Thanksgiving night usher in the holiday season for you?
Posted by: Courtney | November 25, 2005 at 09:22 AM
Thanksgiving IS the holiday season for me. After that it's all manipulative commercials until New Year's.

When answering one of Michele's posts, do you read everyone else's answer first or post your answer and then read?
Posted by: Shannin | November 25, 2005 at 12:01 PM

Whats your favorite Starbucks (or similar java venue) drink?

What is your favorite color and how does it make you feel when you wear it?
Posted by: kenju | November 25, 2005 at 06:55 PM
Figures I would get this one... As a self proclaimed artist it is difficult to pick any one color as favorite!
I do love to wear jewel tones! I feel wonderful in teal or royal blue in the winter and turquouise in the summer. Oh and burgundy in the winter as well. I could go on but I will stop here.
What type of sheets do you have on the bed in the winter? Flannel? Cotton? Thread count?
Posted by: Dawn N. | November 25, 2005 at 07:16 PM
Cotton sheets. I'm in Northern California, so while it may get cold its not quite cold enough to require flannel sheets. Not sure about the threadcount but I'm going to guess around 300 - theyre fairly old and were rather cheap.
What was the first album/cd/cassette you bought?
Posted by: Vanessa | November 25, 2005 at 07:36 PM
This really dates me. It was the Monkees album (really an album) called Shades of Grey. The title song was my favorite.

Avoid them like the plague and do all my shopping online!
Do you remember your first date and where did you go?
Posted by: Rock Bitch | November 26, 2005 at 08:40 AM
Dating myself--we went to see the Godfather. My father gave my boyfriend quite a lecture for taking me to see a movie with that rating (whatever it was), because I was too young.
What's your favorite Christmas song--if any?
Posted by: Poppy | November 26, 2005 at 10:10 AM

No, I avoid Christmas anything until December 1. If you could date any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Posted by: Margaret | November 26, 2005 at 06:52 PM
Hmmmm, if I could date a celebrity (assuming he'd look at me even once, let alone twice), I'd choose the plumber guy on Desperate Housewives (can't remember his name). He's cute and down to earth.
Have you been to New York at Christmas time? If so, what did you like best about it?

Funny you should ask! I just returned there and, as you can imagine, New York is well into Christmas the week before Thanksgiving. It's pretty amazing!

what's your favourite dish on Christmas Day and why?
Posted by: the kim half of glamorouse | November 27, 2005 at 06:06 AM

Oops hit enter too soon.
What is your earliest Christmas memory?
Posted by: sleepingmommy | November 27, 2005 at 02:08 PM
Earliest Chistmas memory... peering out our front window and seeing a sleigh coming up the street. Various neighbors, mostly dad's contemporaries, making the whole magic thing happen, one (Mr. Cruanes) in full santa claus regalia (and in an odd irony, I learned years and years later one guy pulling was Tiny, a retarded man from lower down the street, who ended up on death row after being caught up as a fall guy in a fatal armed robbery).
The whole material gift thing is a little shallow, but nothing goes as deep into a little kid's memory and picture of the world as a little magic.
What's the most magic thing that's happened to you, lately?
Posted by: Joe | November 27, 2005 at 11:33 PM
1. O. Wilde 'Picture of Dorian Grey'
2. New Jersey
3. No
4. Mary-Anne
