Sarah

wow, am I first?

We have a 65 pound dog.

No, we don't dress her.

No, I wouldn't dress a small dog.

tommy

I have a 130 pound dog. He dresses himself if he feels the need. As of yet he has not. He does however like to play fetch with small dogs and cats.

The cat as best we can tell doesn't really enjoy fetch.

Janet

I used to have a miniature pinscher, and I did dress him in a warm coat in the winter...but not as a matter of course, and I did NOT carry him around in my purse LOL!

golfwidow

I have always thought that people who dress up their dogs are frustrated because other humans won't let them pick out wardrobes for them. I say, let them dress up a Rottweiler or a German Shepherd once and get it out of their systems once and for all.

rugdesigner

We have two dogs, both over 70#s. Could not dress them if my life depended on it... I would probably not dress a small dog either, although most of my friends that have small dogs do.

I believe you could convince Mr. Wonderful of anything you really wanted. As to the difficulty, I do not know Mr. Wonderful, but his name implies that it should not be a daunting task!

Phil

I've got a 70 lb dog. And truth be told, with very few exceptions, any animal that (healthily) weighs than 15 lbs is not a "dog" in my opinion, but an oversized rodent.

My dog does sometimes get dressed up for Halloween or Christmas, but not often. And if putting a life vest on counts, then he gets one of those any time we're on a boat. But in general, I think dressing a dog (or cat, or even oversized rodent) up in sweaters, shirts, other clothes on a regular basis isn't "cute", it's rediculous.

annie

I have a large breed dog (part Husky).
I would love to buy her a pretty collar with some rhinestones on it instead of those stupid metal studs, but can't find them in large dog sizes.

Amber

When I get old I fully plan on being an excentric old lady... at that point I will get a small dog and dress it up, but at the moment I fear I care too much about what others think of me. ;)

maryse

see, this is why i like cats better. cats are small. and one would think that if you can dress a small dog, then why not a cat. but see, there is no way in hell a self-respecting cat would let you dress it. and yet, the little dogs do.

Zee

My pup is 90 pound Rottweiler in a 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier's body. She is feisty and funny and cracks me up all the time.

I don't dress her up - she hates it and generally, it ends up being more trouble than it's worth. BUT, I do brush her and put up a top-knot daily. With her coat you have to, or it tangles in seconds flat! However, next winter I'm buying her those little paw-shoes. She hates getting her feet wet and snowy, so I carried her around all winter and DAMN if 5 pounds isn't heavy!

That said, I've never seen this site before and it is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing, Michele! :)

True Jersey Girl

I have a pit bull mix so he is not to into being dressed up. But he does have a NY Giants jersey that he wears each fall. Its pretty cute.

bari

My 95 poung Golden Retriever wears Halloween costumes for the neighborhood kids. Ok OK...he does it for MY amusement too! LOL As he gets older, he gets more disgusted. The only time he *truly* liked it was when he was dressed as a biker dude.

I need therapy.

Jennie

my Josie, who died last month, was a 185 lb great dane, and yet, she maintained her femininity. I always wanted to paint her nails pink and put a tutu on her for Halloween, but she would have been embarassed, so I spared her.

Shaar

No little dogs for me, I like big dogs. I also like things to be natural, thus I think dogs look best as dogs so no special dressing will take place here.

Garnet

I have a Chihuahua. But he's an unusually large Chihuahua. He's 14 pounds!
I see Paris Hilton and people on TV with their little tiny teacup Chis all dressed up in clothes and I tell my husband that I want to put Dobby in clothes too. Unfortunately, because of his abnormal size, the XSmall and Small dog getups are too small for him, while the Mediums are too big!
He does have a winter coat though. Complete with POCKETS on his back that he has no interest in. I try to put that on him as much as I can get away with.
And he wears bandanas around his neck somtimes. He's a MANDOG!

Cara

Ralphie is my little Lhasa Apso and I have TRIED to dress him up but he won't have any part of it! I've never tried a tank top on him so I might just have to order that camouflage one from G.W. Little. The short sleeve rugby shirt that I have for him he doesn't like because of the sleeves. I also tried to get him to wear snow boots in the winter because he really hated going outside to potty when it was so cold. But, again, he would have no part of it. I've also bought him a Harley Davidson hat and goggles...again, he's not interested.
So, yes, I do TRY to dress my dog but he's more of a nudist I believe! LOL!

Cheryl

Sadly, my husband is allergic to dogs.
Rather less regrettably, I am allergic to doggy fashion - particularly the pink fluffies and the diamante. It might look great in NY but in the UK I think the Chavs got there first.

Cheryl

Oops - I mean doggy clothing.

Arethusa

I am sorry Michele, but that site scares me. No little doggies or doggie fashions please.

kenju

GAG me with a spoon!! I know it's an old phrase - but I am an old person.

Norman

Little dogs have been proven genetically to be more closely related to rats than dogs. And who dresses a gerbil?

Raehan

There was a time when we would put a babouska on our 80 pound dog's head and giggle, but we haven't done that in a while.

Brandy

I have a 6 pound dog who wears clothes everyday, your site is awesome!

Andrea,
Regarding your comment:
Paris Noel, Bella LaRue and Madeline Monet are all famous dog models for many well known manufacturing companies. We now have over 32,000 visitors on our web site. How can you hate a face like theirs? They are just sweet little girls. Paris would never think she is better then another dog, she is just simply loving. I am sure your baby is adorable also.
Love and Wags,
