The Daily Three Things

In my mind there is a distinct difference between an employee evaluation and an employee performance review. The  first sounds much more welcomin. Yes, I know they are the same thin. However, I was somewhat relieved that it was a review and not an evaluation I received today.

Accordin to my excellent performance review: 

I am extremely oranized, I have excellent verbal communication skills, and I have maintained excellent rapport with clients and colleaues. 

Hmm, wait a minute, I am self-employed. Except for a part-time secretary there are no colleaues.  Do you think I was too enerous with my own praise?

1. Works well alone.
2. Is knowledgeable about the State laws of required break times.
3. Observes the "no overtime" rule very well.

Okay - I don't work now, but I used to be a daycare director and I would hope that's what they would say about me :)

Oh yuck! I have to write reviews all the time at work. Like, tons of them. I'm the Queen of Reviews. I've demanded a tiara but haven't gotten it yet.

I don't think I wanna write my own review! I'm reviewed out. :)

Maybe you prefer the evaluation over review because it sounds like valuing .. maybe?

I am with Tammy on this one. I have 17 staff to manage - and I get to review them every year. It is absolutely energy-sapping and I have no energy left to write my own review! :)
