Thank you Pearl, Melinama and Rory.
At the end of the Meme I have selected who I wish to pass this on to. Please let me know, in the comment section, if you have done, or will do this so that I can visit and read your replies.
You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Selected Poems by Matthew Arnold which includes "Dover Beach." However, I would like a flammable copy please.
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional character?
Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.
- The last book you read:
The last book I read was The Effects of Light by Miranda Beverly-Whittemore, however I only started it last night. The last book I completed was a re-reading of Love by Toni Morrison.
- Five books you would take to a deserted island:
My choices would have been very different if it were a secluded, rather than deserted island.
OED (Oxford English Dictionary), simply so I could learn a new word every day and use it in a sentence. Of course I can also use it to protect myself if I have any companions on the deserted island. Yes, a word-a-day-girl will get on others nerves and need protection from hurled coconuts.
SAS Survival Handbook: How to Survive in the Wild, in Any Climate, on Land or at Sea by John "Lofty" Wiseman. This book would be handy for obvious reasons, including the fact that any man named Lofty is a high hopes sort of man.
The New Way Things Work by David Macaulay and Neil Ardley. If I know how things work I can make things work for me.
The Complete Collected Works of Shakespeare. Simply because The Bard comforts me. Is there such a book, that is the question?
A blank book to write my survival memoirs. The title: The True Confessions of Ginger Wanna-Be. Subtitled: How I Knew I Would be Stranded on a Deserted Island and Had the Foresight to Bring Books But Not Flares.
- Who are you going to pass this stick to and why?
Any person who reads this and wishes to do it. Simply because I do not play favourites with my fictional characters or my blogfriends.
Is it possible that the comments under this post reads "0?" For shame!
Rory passed the stick to me too!!
Ahh, now we have "1."

I'm just about to go and do this being that I love them...and The Complete Works of Shakespeare does exist. My copy is printed by Collins - if that's any help!
