Obviously, I was not destined to become a reat siner. In fact, many of my friends have suested that I should not be permitted to sin within audible rane of another person. Yes, I have a horrible sinin voice, but if I could sin I would wish to sound like Billie Holliday or Nora Jones.
Do you have a ood sinin voice? If you could choose any sinin voice who would you sound like?
Sting

Ella Fitzgerald or Sarah Vaughn.

Doris Day!

I have a horrible singing voice.
But I would Love to have Barbra Streisand's voice.

Ed Ames.

I'd love to sound like Dar Williams. But I do have a good singing voice... I sound like... me. MP3s available by request, LOL.

I've tried to emulate several talented singers over the last few years. I'd love to sound like Natalie Merchant and I've tried very hard to mimic Sarah McLaughlin. If I were a guy, I'd try to be Josh Grobin (who wouldn't?)

I love to sing. In fact, I think that life should be a musical. The only problem? My singing voice is TERRIBLE. AWFUL. If I could have anyone's singing voice I would like Shea Seger's voice. It is very raw and edgy yet beautiful.

Hmmmm... if I could choose someone else's voice, perhaps Diana Krall, or one of the women in Anonymous 4, or the late Eva Cassidy. And I do have a good singing voice, which I have occasionally been paid to use.

Frank Sinatra....and it has nothing at all to do with all the whores he used to get....

Norah Jones is definatly who's voice I would like to sound like.
Posted by: Camellia | January 17, 2005 at 11:07 AM
Well, I have a good singing voice (so I'm told), but I'm no rock star. If I could have anyone's voice, Norah Jones would definitely be on the list. Sarah McLachlan. Jewel. (But I do love Barbra Streisand, Charlotte Church, if you want to talk about really REAL singers....)
Posted by: Muppet | January 17, 2005 at 11:10 AM
Jewel, Eartha Kitt or now that I've seen Phatom, Emmy Rossum. Wow.
Posted by: Caelyn | January 17, 2005 at 11:18 AM
Stevie Nicks.

I have a dreadful singing voice. I only use it around small children who tend to sing over me, or around the dog whom I have fooled into thinking I'm a diva extrodinnaire. Amazing what you can do with a dog treat. Like you, I'd want to sound like Billie Holiday. I'm off to sing Rain or Shine to the dog now.

Susan Tedeschi or Joan Osborne
When I was little (and I mean, like, a CHILD) and sang along in the car my MOTHER actually said, "My god you're hurting my ears!"
Posted by: Tracey | January 17, 2005 at 11:50 AM
I sing really well during my private concerts in my car!! I think I'd be a good backup singer, but I'd never be famous since the idea of singing a solo in front of millions makes me freak out!! I'd love to sound like Sarah McLaughlin or Ella Fitzgerald.
Posted by: Jodi | January 17, 2005 at 12:15 PM
I'm ok, but I'd rather sound like Kevin Mahogany
Posted by: muzikdude | January 17, 2005 at 12:44 PM
Me, I'd want to sing like Tony Bennet or Tom Jones.
I'd like to get to underwear thrown at me.
Posted by: Tony | January 17, 2005 at 12:56 PM
My own mother once asked me..."What did you do with that money?"
In puzzlement I asked, "What money?"
She replied, "The money I gave you for singing lessons. Please don't ever do that where people can hear you."
I wouldn't mind sounding like Janis Joplin or Joni Mitchell...

I have a good singing voice and I loooove to sing, I sing all the time. I´m not sure who I would want to sound like, there are so many great singers but, I´ll say Billie. Still I´m very happy with my own voice and wouldn´t change it! :)

Sinead O'Connor. Her voice on The Lion & The Cobra is other-worldly

myself.
i rock at singing.
seriously.
Posted by: SEV | January 17, 2005 at 01:48 PM
A rather mediocre voice. I'd be quite happy with either Diane or Sarah's voice. Neither of them are famous, but they're friends of mine with some great pipes.

Mickey Mouse? No?
hmmmmmm ...
Posted by: Garrison Steelle | January 17, 2005 at 03:21 PM
Stevie Nicks or Alison Kraus.
Posted by: Sibeal | January 17, 2005 at 03:34 PM
Katell Keineg, because she's effing fantastic. That's probably why nobody has ever heard about her. If you have, you are my friend. That's a rule I've established.
Apart from that I do have a good singing voice. See my blog profile for proof. Or ask me. Or just believe it and let go.
Also, Alison Breitman is really great.
And, oh-my-god-how-could-I-have-forgotten, Cerys Matthews.
If I was (were? whatever.) a guy I would have to choose between Paul Simon and Jude. Or Barry White. Naturally.
See, now you got me talking.

I'm a fair singer. I'd love to sound like Billie Holiday, too.
Posted by: mulligan | January 17, 2005 at 05:38 PM
Sarah Brightman. AFTER all the lessons, not before.
Posted by: Mamacita | January 17, 2005 at 06:15 PM
Jeff Buckley. Awesome voice that sends shivers up my spine at the best of times.
Posted by: Melody | January 17, 2005 at 06:38 PM
Sarah MacLachlan
Posted by: Chasmyn | January 17, 2005 at 07:16 PM
No I cannot sing well...
I would choose to sound like either:
Amy Grant
or that really great NYC Broadway Phantom of the Opera star, whose name escapes me now
Posted by: Milehighdivacyn | January 17, 2005 at 10:23 PM
John Lennon. But then my actual singing voice (yes, I CAN sing) does sound a bit like John Lennon.
Posted by: Kevin | January 18, 2005 at 09:09 AM
Adam Pascal...note: sarah brightman has a disgusting voice
