Please Comment

The Tsunami Devastation

My thoughts, my hopes and my prayers continue to be with the millions of families touched by this terrible tragedy. Several days ao I was moved by the generosity of of a few of my fellow bloggers who offered to donate one dollar for each comment that they received during delurking day. A dear friend of mine was also moved and he suggested that if I do the same thin he would make the same generous offer.

Although I wanted him to do this on his site, he thinks that I might et a few more visitors than he would. He is an avid reader of my blog and he knows that I have wonderfully caring blog-friends. So, on behalf of my friend, the man behind Simund, Carl and Alfred, please comment and prove him correct.

A donation of one dollar for each person who comments will be donated to Oxfam International.

So for today's twenty-four hour comment ame:

Updates:

Although my friend has said there is no cap it is very unfair for one person to add many comments with phony e-mails. I have this non-magical ability to view IP's. Clever girl I know. I will remove phony comments and if they continue I will ban that IP. This is not a joke and I do not appreciate it be treated as one.

Two people have written asking me why Oxfam. Simply put is that because that is the charity that the gentleman who is donating the money chose. In my opinion Oxfam is a wonderful organization and the International branch was chosen simply because my readership is international. If you have any further questions please follow the link to Sigmund, Carl and Alfred and ask there.

A few people have expressed skepticism (tsk, tsk) so I would like to let them know that my friend has told me that he will be making the donation in the name of Michele's Friends and Readers and he or I will post a copy of the reciept on one of our blogs.
