Look around your home and imaine that you have fifteen minutes to evacuate, and the only thins that you can take with you are items that will fit in the back seat of a car. So, after you have athered precious photos, personal mementos and family heirlooms what one thin would you take that is unique to you?
Which reminds me that I must search for a shoe cabinet that will fit in the back seat of my car.
I can't imagine that I would waste that space with photos and knick-knacks. I'd grab my dogs, and my laptop, which contains the most recent version of my almost-completed book manuscript.

Would I sound like a bad person if I said my wine? Then, I'd have to say my laptop, after my 4 kids, 3 dogs and 3 guinea pigs, of course :)

Husband, cats, artwork, computer, and as many books that can fit into the back seat of a car.

I don't know if we would have room for anything more than family and pet! But if I could; books. As many as I could gather in my little ole arms and fit in. MY BOOKS. The heck with everyone else, I want to be greedy!!! (okay, I'll leave them so space.)

I have a small jewelry box my Dad made for me for my 14th birthday. That is about the only thing in my place I could never say goodbye to.

If you are speaking material things it would have to be my laptop.

As I look around my overly cluttered computer room, I pause to wonder what here really matters. I live in a large house, crammed with the junk that has piled up over a decade. It is a historic house with spectacular ornamentation. It would be a tragedy to see such a place burn down.
A few rooms away, my wife and my daughters are sleeping. They matter. They must be saved. Beyond that, for some reason, the scene from Brother Sun, Sister Moon comes to mind where Francis renounces all earthly possessions and stands naked in the town square.

Well, since having twin girls in April, my wife and I had to upgrade our vehicle. We now have a Nissan Armada, which is HUGE. I may be able to fit my entire existence into the Armada, the 15 minutes would limit my choices, however. My PowerBook and camera equipment would have to come with me. The rest of the good stuff is in a safety deposit box...

My dog and my bird. As much as I love my other possessions, I would want to keep them safe!

Brother Sun, Sister Moon is one of my favourite movies. I get chills just thinking about it. I haven't thought about that movie for a long time. Thanks, Aldon Hynes!

well, Since I have won of the Roadmaster station wagons, I am pretty sure I can grab the following.
kids
dog
clothes
pc & disks
camera
photo albums
If I can pack a 2 story house in 2 hours I sure I can add even more to that list for 15 mintues.

I think if I only have room to fill the backseat of my car, I will only have room for the kids!
